Summer 2002, my friends Luis and Marisol were engaged and just for silliness, we did portraits of them underwater, but fully clothed, to be part of their photo table at the reception. That was with a cheap, disposable, ratty camera. Armed now with a waterproof digital, we decided to do new shots. Calling them hilarious would be a gross understatement.

No, I'm not personally the one who went to Hawaii on this trip. I wished!!! This trip was taken by my parents and my aunt and uncle. I'm insanely jealous. I offered to host this album of their photos so friends and family could see.

This is the year I divided up my photo albums into years to make certain albums easier to find, and to make certain pages load more quickly. Also, after three different Sony Ericsson phones, I finally gave them up in favor of the Apple iPhone.

I didn't even realize this night was the grand opening until Jeff called that afternoon to invite me along. Glad he did, because the whole thing was spectacular—Disney calibre.

Washington/British Columbia/Yellowstone, Autumn 1999

While this trip marked the second time I'd been to Washington, it was my first real visit through much of the northwest U.S. We started, however with a stop to visit family in southern California.

UPDATE: I have absolutely no explanation why I didn't upload better-quality images into this album a long time ago. I had Picture CDs made at the time I processed the film. The original album here had smaller scans that came from my old web site with limited storage space. I should've worked on replacing them with better images as soon as I moved to Gallery for my albums. Well, at long last, here they are.

BONUS: several shots that I didn't include the first time are now in this album. The captions indicate which shots are new.

Disney Parks with Friends, December 4, 2003

Some friends and I spent a day at some of the Disney parks. I still had my seasonal pass, but props to Emory (a Disney employee) who arranged admission for the others. Fair warning, this album was more about shots of us than of things at Disney. P.S. - Jeff had his digital camera along, too, and he put his pictures online as well, but he prefers his album stay out of the general public eye. If you want to see those photos, drop me a line and I'll point you to his album.

Local bands Ádamas and Runnin' Blind performing at Reilly's Lantern Pub near Universal Studios. Ádamas is sounding better and better every time I hear their stuff and are currently distributing their first demo. This was the first I'd heard of Runnin' Blind and, even without their bass player this night, they had a great sound.

After years of attempting to pull it off, I and four of my friends—Rosa, Vergy, Melvin, and Jeff—finally managed to arrange a multi-day vacation. Several different destinations have been on our minds, but Puerto Rico was the final candidate for our first excursion together.

A June trip to southern Missouri for my younger cousin's wedding in Branson was a lovely trip, although the hands-down photographic highlight of the year, so far, was driving to the Rocky Mountain National Forest for a couple hours of sightseeing before flying home after an annual convention. Late this year also saw the acquisition of a Nikon D90 for work—a vastly superior camera to the D100 used previously. It is certain there'll be plenty of albums in the future featuring photos taken with the D90.

Absolutely amazing facility for audio visual arts and business training. Since I wasn't sure whether they would want our cameras inside, I didn't bring mine, but a colleague had hers (she also has a Nikon D90) and she shared her shots. I borrowed her camera for a few of the shots, however.
