Before dinner, we went to a mansion that has an outstanding view of downtown Portland. If my memory is correct, it was the Pittock Mansion. We got there late and could only look around the grounds. The house was closed for the day. I also remember they were doing a lot of work on it and there was scaffolding everywhere—not very photogenic. There's a good photo of the house on the web site.
