A bald eagle swooped past 2-3 times. Eventually, she landed in a nearby tree and chirped her approval at Katie and Melvin's marriage. (Interesting: upon a slight enhancement of this photo, I see that the Nikkor 18-200 lens exhibits some vignetting at full telephoto. Hmmm.)

I like the idea of unity sand as opposed to a unity candle. It was always a thought to me that even unity candles eventually burn out, but sand is forever.

This is a classic example of why you should never delete pictures from the camera before downloading. I was nearly sure this was a throwaway because of being so dark (my flash hadn't recharged yet), but a smidge of help and much credit to Camera Raw format, and this was salvaged into a beautiful shot.
