In 1998, after my brother's wedding in Washington state, I went down to
San Francisco for a brief touristy visit. I'd rented a Plymouth Breeze and loved it—enough that I was ready to get rid of the gas-guzzling, 6-cylinder, 4.3-liter truck and trade it for a car. Well, in October of that same year, I did it, but could not afford something like the Breeze (or, actually, the Stratus, of which I liked the exterior styling better). Instead, I got this 1996 Saturn SL2. I enjoyed the enormous difference in fuel efficiency and it really was a decent little car, but I emphasize the word "little." I only kept it a year.
